Shiny pokemon are pokemon that are different colored than normal pokemon. Here is an example:
The normal Mime Jr.
The Shiny Mime Jr.
As you can see, the normal mime Jr. is pink with blue on the top and bottom, as for the shiny Mime Jr. it's light pink
with green.
Difference
There is no difference in anything between the two normal and shiny pokemon. The only difference is the shiny color.
Availability
Shiny pokemon are very rare to find. Normal pokemon are much easier to find than the shiny pokemon.
Easy Way in getting Shiny Pokemon
After obtaining the pokemon radar, use it to track shiny pokemon in diamond and pearl. In other games though, you cannot obtain
the pokemon radar witch makes shiny pokemon hard to find.
