Most likely one of the hardest parts in making a site (it can also be the most fun part too!).
Thinking of a new layout.

Now this tutorial is going to teach you ideas of making layouts, not really making a layout and coding it.
Well, let's get started <3

Part 1: The Image

The most important part, the image! What image do you want on your new layout? Do you want it unique and fun or a normal Pokemon one that you can edit freely on your program? This will help!

Making a Unique Image
The most unique way of having an image is drawing it yourself. If you don't want that, you can actually find cute Pokemon images on other sites like Arkies or Deviantart! However, remember to give credit to the artist when using the image.

Using a Pokemon image can also be amazing! Use effects to make your image look cool for the visitors, and unique at the same time!

Part 2: The colors

The colors are also very important. You wouldn't want to combine a light (and I mean light) color of green and yellow for example. That would just hurt your visitor's eyes!
Use relaxing colors. Colors that are nice on the eyes. Here are a few color combinations:
- Light Pink and Yellow. This combination is calm if you don't use really bright pink and yellow. Make it pastel colors.
- Blue and Green. This combination is especially good with a gradient. As mentioned above, make it calm, not too bright or too dark.
- Red and Pink. This combination is really good for Valentines day layouts :3 Make it calm.
- Green and Yellow. Very calm colors :3
- Blue and Blue. Make them both calm blue, but one should be darker than the other.
- Red and red. Same as Blue.
- Green and Green. Same as Red and Blue.
And so on! Create your own combination to make a nice layout <3

Part 3: Adding it up

Ok, so now you have your color combination and image ready. Let's get started with what color (light and dark) to use in the specific places.
- The banner has to be a calm color, but make it a bit darker than the navigation and the content.
- The Disclaimer should also be a clam color that is a bit darker than the navigation and content.
- The Navigation has to be a bit lighter than the banner and disclaimer but a bit darker than the content.
- The content has to be lighter than both the navigation and the banner.
- The background should be in relation with the colors used in the layout. Make it a calm and light one.
Of course, you can change some things if you want <3

Part 4: More Editing

It's time to edit the layout. Add brushes and textures to make it look cool or cute!
