Ok, so now you have your layout up and the content is already there.
There is only 1 problem. No one seems to visit!
This guide will teach you how to get hits for your site.

Finding out if you have visitors


Do you know if you even have visitors to your site? If you want to know, there are many ways!
The first and most important way is having a shoutbox or chatroom. You can see who leaves comments for you. You can also have a guestbook, a forum or a news management system with comments.

Advertising


When I say advertising, I don't mean the kind where you visit the popular sites and spam their shoutbox telling their visitors to visit your site too. Yes, you can do that, but in a nice way.
Start by a compliment. It has to be true, not just a fake one to get the visitors to visit your site. Talk and get to know other people. Eventually, they will visit your site, and you would have made new friends and got visitors at the same time.
Of course, that is not the best way. You can sign up for advertising at Pokeadds. It's a free Pokemon advertising network where you get your own profile. You can edit and add pictures and comments of your site. See how other people see your site when they comment on your site profile and rate it. Then, you can get ideas of how to improve your site!

Have useful content


No, a page with a sentence or two is not considered a very useful, fun or helpful site. Visitors like to see content, and you should work hard to give it to them. You can make guides for them, add fun interactive pages, or write guides about games and other Pokemon things.
People also like to see free graphics, so you should add them to your site.

Affiliate


Most likely the most important way to gain hits. Affiliating is when two sites exchange buttons. That way, other people can visit your site from other sites.
Try to affiliate with as many sites as possible. Not only do you gain hits, but you have new friends to chat with!
