In the previous movie, Dialga and Palkia get into a fight that causes destruction in the real world. Giratina, a legendary Pokemon that lives in a different world called the Torn world, became raged to find that it's world was polluted due to Dialga and Palkia's fight in the previous Movie. Giratina then decided to drag Dialga to it's world and have a fight, assuming that Dialga was responsible for the damage. Shaymin was also dragged into the world, and continues to dodge Giratina and Dialga's attack. Finally, Shaymin uses Seed Flare and escapes to the other world, the Pokemon world, allowing Dialga to seal the entrance so Giratina could not go back. Back in the real world, Ash and friends are continuing their journey. However, Shaymin appears right in front of them. Amazed by it's skill at telepathy, Shaymin quickly befriends Ash, Brock and Dawn. On their journey with Shaymin, the friends encounter a girl named Leila who had a bouquet of Glacidea flowers.
