Scanlines Tutorial

This is a simple tutorial in making an awesome scanline effect! Follow the steps and see the final result. Click on the images to enlarge.

First of all, pick a banner/graphic. This is where the scanlines will appear. I'm using the banner I made in the how to make a banner tutorial.

Next, go file --> New
Fill in the same information in the image above (except the name xD)

Now, go layer --> New Layout and call it anything you like
Click on the pencil tool and pick any color you like (that will be the scanline color)
On the new layer, do the same thing I did in the picture (three diagonal squares)
After you do that, you have to delete the background layer.

This is the pattern step, go Edit --> Define Pattern
Call the pattern anything (you can call it the color name and then diagonal pattern)

This is the important step. Go back to the banner/graphic you are going to do the scanline effect on. On that graphic, go layer --> New Layer and call it anything.
Now go, edit --> Fill
Chose the pattern and then change the opacity to 60%
You can change the opacity depending on what you like.

This is my finished Example:
